Michael Roberg
Engineering Fellow

Michael Roberg joined mmTron in late 2022 to lead the company’s advanced MMIC development efforts. Previously, he was a MMIC Design Engineering Fellow at Qorvo, where he developed GaN MMIC products for commercial and military applications.

Prior to Qorvo, Roberg spent six years as a senior member of the engineering staff at Lockheed Martin’s Maritime Systems and Sensors business in Moorestown, New Jersey. There, as a radar system design engineer, he contributed to the the Advanced Radar Technology Integrated System Testbed (ARTIST) program, a joint U.K. and U.S. naval radar technology demonstrator developing innovative technologies for active, electronically-scanned surface radar systems.

Roberg’s technical contributions to the industry were recognized by the IEEE Microwave Theory & Technology Society (MTT-S), which awarded him the organization’s Outstanding Young Engineer Award in 2021. He is a member of the Microwave High-Power Techniques technical committee (TC-12).

Roberg earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, a master’s in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Bucknell University.
